How love takes photographs - ongoing series
Our relationship began in 2013 and back then we had more time to fool around with the camera. He is actually very art inclined (could easily pursue photography, music and acting), but it is not his calling. He said he wouldnβt bother to actually put in the work for an artistic career, that he enjoys to pop in this world for fun (meaning giving βkaraokeβ sessions when heβs in the mood, mindfucking me and his friends and sometimes taking the camera and snapping a few moments).
I love how he picks his moments to press the camera button, the nuances of his observatory spirit. Because of this, I couldnβt just leave the original pictures forgotten in a folder. I thought that if a relationship is composed of two people completing each other, then, I will βcompleteβ him with this and add my vision through editing.
Since weβre not the kind of couple who likes to expose the fact that we are together excessively (meaning, we have no problem in displaying public affection, itβs just that we wonβt pose kissy-kissy lovely-dovely especially for Social Media and we donβt really like to overload the internet with our love either), this βprojectβ evolves slow, but I think that makes it even more meaningful. They say that strong essences are kept in small doses and we have a lifetime to find out if thatβs true.
