OLIVIER MOECKLI
Olivier Moeckli is a Swiss photographer and videographer, focusing on portrait and documentary work. 📸
He began his career as a film director and director’s assistant (with Jacques Rivette and Straub/Huillet among others),
before working for the public communication of the International Red Cross in Afghanistan, Angola, Colombia, Iraq and several other countries at war. 🌍
Since 2009, he has undertaken several long-term photography projects, documenting the people living in Chinatown in Bangkok,
as well as rice farmers in Asia, through a mix of portraits and documentary photos.
From 2009 to 2016, he traveled to 22 cities through all 5 continents to portray the first generation of teenagers
to grow up globally connected in the age of social media. 🌐
