Teleport: By Diana Budacu 🏹
Diana is a Romanian photographer, currently residing in Bucharest. I've been following her creations for a while.
I like her bold & creative style (I’d call it glam-balkan pulp fiction) and so was curious to get to meet the artist behind the work.
How and when did Diana start photography?
“I had some friends who really loved taking pictures in grades 5-8 and I was there following them;
I don't think I had 'an eye' for it back then, but I had a desire to have a camera.
Then, throughout high school, I was obsessed with photos, taking selfies with my phone
and then appreciating the quality of a photo taken with a camera.
In a total blur, I realized that I wanted to create concepts.
Intoxicated by Tumblr, the crazy concepts had a deep root.
In the fall of 2016, I went hand in hand with my mom
and bought my first camera with my unemployment money.
I thank the people who helped me get here and believed in me.
It's unreal to look back and remember the entire journey.
Fast-forward, here I am! Creating” says Diana on her Instagram.
