ULTRAMARIN
On Saturday, April 2nd, we invited you to the ULTRAMARIN exhibition. The event was organized to commemorate one year since the official opening of Gallery, a cultural space, as well as to celebrate one year of activity of the National Association for Contemporary Visual Arts. The vernissage took place at Gallery (Leonida Street, 9-11).
“The first year of activity for the National Association for Contemporary Visual Arts started on April 2, 2015 with the RED exhibition. The opening event at the cultural space Gallery brought together over 80 national and international artists.
2015 was a year of exceptional results, reflected through the artistic activities carried out by ANAV and the surprising number of promoted artists: supported over 130 cultural events; promoted and exhibited over 400 national and international artists.
They organized a different artistic event every day in June 2015 as part of the Biennial of Art-Object, which they hosted in partnership with DFEWA. They were organizers in the contemporary art festival, KULTURAMA, with over 30,000 visitors. They collaborated with the French Embassy, the National Art Museum of Romania, the Wallonia-Brussels Delegation in Bucharest, the Romanian Peasant Museum, the French Institute, the Chinese Artists Association from the Yinchuan Region, the Confucius Institute, DFEVA, the National University of Arts, White Night of the Galleries, Art Safari, ARCUB, MOYA - Vienna, the Romanian Cultural Institute.”

Samsara (re)birth, life and death
Samsara; just like water - To be poured into a richly, poorly bowl, you are born within this world.
Samsara; just like water - To become an adult without a soul, you must freeze within the bowl.
Samsara; just like water - But time passes by your unwrinkled flesh, melting every bit of your pleasure nest.
Samsara; just like water - Burning and boiling from the weight of the World, evaporate into nothingness to become whole.
Samsara; just like water - Until the steam can unravel into rain - rebirth - continuous loop of the Mundane.
EXHIBITION PHOTOS
ULTRAMARIN was a collective exhibition of photography, painting, sculpture, graphics, ceramics, installations and 3D art, bringing together over 100 national and international artists in a unique event dedicated exclusively to contemporary visual arts, curated by Mirela Trăistaru and Daniel Sur.
Ultramarine is the purest shade of blue. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, intelligence, faith, and truth. It is associated with calmness, purity, serenity, and spirituality.
The event will conclude with an anniversary celebration dedicated to the achievements of the first year of activity of the cultural space GALLERY and ANAV.
