WELCOME TO DYSTOPIA

When natural manifestations of humanity must be under layers of snowflake polish to be accepted, all remaining souls will find themselves in places deserted; in moments seemingly distorted, distracted and refocused by how life still flows through. The relief of liberation will feed, more than the comfort provided by fragile shallow hearts, through convenient alienation. Welcome to Dystopia.

This is a nude photography project done for Ivanna’s Patreon. You can find all the pictures here.

It was a summer day with a lot of potential. Me & Ivanna were supposed to take pictures only at the abandoned beer factory in Bucharest. The place is absolutely huge and a has a lot of potential. I was also there countless times before to confirm it was safe to go there during the day.

We get there, Ivanna undresses and we start to walk through the first few buildings of the abandoned factory. Things go great, I catch more than 100 images and then, boom, somebody is there and we have to leave.

Because we don’t give up so easily, we went to the nearest McDonald’s to drink a coffee and decide which location should we go to, next? For context, there used to be a lot of “unknown“ abandoned cool locations in Bucharest, however, since I’m not the only urban explorer, in time, these places have become populated with kids, junkies, homeless people and other creators like us. Nowadays it is kind of difficult to find a spot that’s 100% secure, especially for nude pictures.

I remember about this big abandoned terrain at Piața Unirii and I tell her that this is also big enough and surrounded by nature so we could definitely find a spot there where, if there are people we wouldn’t be seen. Well, exactly when we decide to leave it starts to rain. Our only luck was that outside was indeed warm, otherwise that heavy rain would have defeated us. We ended up having to sit for about 15-30mins in the bus station we were dropped at, close to the location simply because it rained a lot.

Thankfully, as it was summer, the storm cleared up completely and by the time we reached the location it was the perfect setting for the pictures. We finished the project there and took these web friendly pictures for promotion as well.

Suprisingly this didn’t take too long either, despite the delays. I’m really glad Ivanna is a brave and open-minded model, but not only. She’s also an actress and DJ among other cool things she does and you can find links to follow her, below:
