spirited Bordeaux
They used to call this city "La Belle Endormie" (The Sleeping Beauty) because, for decades, industrial coal soot clung to the grand limestone facades, burying its splendor under a heavy, dark haze.
I find myself drawn to that same atmospheric tension; the way the city’s rigid, Gothic bones collide with the fluid, chaotic energy of the people moving through its streets today.
In my work, I wanted to capture this duality: where 18th-century elegance meets a gritty, modern soul.
To me, Bordeaux isn't just a place; it’s a shifting perspective that appears as a dream or a fever-vision, depending on how the light hits the stone.
I'm not just documenting a city; I'm representing the feeling of being caught between its history and its colorful shadows.
