“SECVENȚE“ PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL
The 5th edition of // SECVENȚE Photography Festival, in Ploiești
The Escamonde Ploiești Tourism and Arts Club, together with the Association for Tourism Promotion and Development - Apdt Prahova - and the Prahova Museum of Natural Sciences, are pleased to invite you to rediscover photography through exhibitions, conferences, and thematic workshops.
For 2017, we have chosen "City Life" as the main subject of the festival, with its infinite sequences. Photographers from all around the world have committed themselves to surprise and impress you through forms, colors, and, above all, moments. In support of their efforts, other artists will contribute with landscape, nature, portrait, as well as commercial and industrial images.
The Palace of Culture, the old citadel of science and arts, will be filled with artistic events. We will welcome visitors with the "Street of Arts," a cultural event that will flood the palace's steps with short artistic performances, small artisans, exhibitions, color, and sound. The Lost Steps Hall will host the main exhibitions of the festival this year as well, and among its tall columns, we will have many curiosities dedicated to those who will allocate enough time for exploration and knowledge.
The conferences will take place in the halls of the same palace, but the city of Ploiești as a whole will host photography workshops and photo exhibitions in its cultural and commercial centers. When the emotions and the daylight temper down, music will take on the artistic tone of the event. We invite you to attend a jazz concert performed by famous protagonists. On Saturday evening, we will release our little wishes into the sky. Lanterns will light up the city's sky once again.
