FUTURE’S PAST
There's a future, there's a past…
If you're stuck in day-dreaming,
You see how nothing lasts.
The only constant is manifestation.
There is no future, there is no past.
There is merely skin on skin, shedding after inking,
Healing after touching, progressively
Growing closer to dying.
There are no dreams - rather continuous variants
Of how all those puzzle pieces are fitting
Within and through the world.
Everything is now and now is never something.
Now is whatever you let through you,
Now is whatever you try to get through them,
Now is uncontrollable, now is free.
Now just passed and came around for me.
The measure of time, are batteries pumping life.
Yet again, this implies succumbing to our creations,
In the search for meaning in distress
And reason in happiness.
What is future, what is past,
Outside the concepts of our mass,
Where nature does outlast
Mankind?
